Your life is not your own

Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit"— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that."-James 4:13-15

With the events of this past week, I'm quite reminded of the fact that life is all in God's hands. Tornadoes coming close to home, not once but twice in a week; flooding creeks and rivers make me aware of the brevity of my own life. God has been merciful to this point in my life in so many ways. I look forward to his future grace and mercy in Russia.

When I check my online account status, I am surprised at the grace of God in providing for this journey. I shouldn't be surprised at how he provides, but He amazes me at the extent of His kindness.
I know for sure that there will be life long lessons for me to learn this summer as well as an opportunity to be a blessing.

God is so good!
